Michael C. Hall on his living arrangement: “Dexter and the kids are back in the apartment with Deb. There’s a desire on Dexter’s part to get them out of the environment where this happened.”
Remember Elliot? Dexter’s neighbor will play a key role: “There will be some scenes between [Dexter and Elliot], and some tension,” Hall says. “Along with interaction with Dexter, Elliot will have interaction with Quinn regarding the nature of the affair or dalliance or whatever it was that.”
Dexter as a suspect: “His wife is dead, and at the scene of the crime Dexter says he did it,” Desmond Harrington said. “He suspects [his partner's] brother of this horrific thing but never wants to broach this topic with her.”

SHOWTIME Digital Media has officially unveiled an alternate reality game for DEXTER fans leading to the season five premiere of the series. Intrepid DEXTER fans first discovered the game while playing the SHOWTIME-sponsored DEXTER GAME ON at the 2010 San Diego Comic-Con. Comprised of two main sites (sleepsuperbly.com and serialhuntress.com), a weekly digest (hunterprey.com), and numerous microsites, the action will take place across the web and on mobile, leading up to the season premiere of DEXTER on Sunday, September 26 at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
Produced by SHOWTIME in conjunction with the Boston-based agency, Modernista!, the alternate reality game will unfold online, leading up to DEXTER’s September premiere, as players work together online to bring down a suspected serial killer. The story follows the trail of a serial killer dubbed “The Infinity Killer,” and the crowdsourcing crime-solver, Dee “Serial Huntress” Pratt, hot on his trail.
At Comic-Con, fans visited a crime scene littered with mysterious clues that led them to “The Serial Huntress,” a fictional ex-FBI agent by the name of Dee Pratt. The Serial Huntress uses crowdsourcing techniques (via her web site, www.serialhuntress.com) as tools to hunt and apprehend serial killers. The Huntress and her crime-solving followers communicate through discussion boards and an ongoing video blog.
DEXTER fans went on to discover the connection between the so-called “Infinity Killer,” the crime scene found at Comic-Con and an online service, Sleep Superbly, whose website (www.sleepsuperbly.com) features dream optimization “therapy” sessions. Players online found video sessions of a customer called “F8″ that, while not confessional in nature, are filled with enough incriminating clues to seemingly connect him with the reported murder.

A newly-released behind-the-scene of “Dexter” not only gives away an actors’ perspective of what will happen to the serial killer after Rita’s death but also new scenes which will be found in season 5. Michael C. Hall took the time to pick out Dexter’s train of thought, saying the character is no longer innocent and is smeared with Rita’s blood.
There is a scene where Astor blames Dexter for her mother’s death and her not believing that he actually cares about it. Quinn, who has rubbed Dexter the wrong way in the past, plants an idea into Laguerta’s mind about the possibility of Dexter as the murderer. Meanwhile, Debra breaks down at the thought of her unable to crack her brother’s mind.

The series is nominated at the upcoming Primetime Emmy Awards as Outstanding Drama alongside “Lost“, “Breaking Bad“, “Mad Men“, “True Blood” and “The Good Wife“. Hall is also nominated as Outstanding Actor while last season’s villain John Lithgow has won the Outstanding Guest Actor nod at Creative Arts Emmys earlier this week. The Primetime Emmys takes place Sunday, August 29 and is aired live by NBC starting at 8 P.M. ET/ 5 P.M. PT.
Title of Dexter Season 5 Episode 8 will be called “Take It!“
The fifth season of Dexter is previewed in a metaphorical way through a new promo to announce its Fall return. As Dexter collects his last blood slide trophy, his world begins to literally go upside down and everything smashes around him including the picture of his family.
This would be the representation of last season’s finale where Dexter’s life is torn apart with the death of Rita in the hand of Trinity. A trailer played at the Comic Con last month revealed that Dexter came out of the house with his baby and said “It’s me” much to Debra’s shock. But it looks like, Dexter won’t shut down his dark passenger for in the promo he says, “I’ve always been good at picking up the pieces”.
Beside the promo, there’s a teaser which uses Phil Collins’ “In the Air Tonight”. It gives a flashback to Rita in the bloody bathtub and a glimpse of her in the coffin. Dexter gets blood on his hands and Quinn begins to narrow down a suspect.

Dexter Season 5 : Prison Break’s Chris Vance (Whistler!) has booked a multi-episode arc on the upcoming fifth season of Dexter, sources confirm to me exclusively.
The British thesp—who most recently headlined Fox’s short-lived shrink procedural Mental—will play Cole, a meticulous, physically fit, well-spoken personal aide to a famous businessman.
Vance, who is slated to appear in at least three episodes of Dexter, also recurred on the third season of Burn Notice as an antagonist to Jeffrey Donovan’s Michael.
Other Dexter season 5 guest stars include Julia Stiles, erstwhile RoboCop Peter Weller, and ex-Eli Stone attorney Johnny Lee Miller.
In anticipation of the fifth season, “Dexter” has given fans five weeks to catch up with the fourth season by releasing the DVD and Blu-Ray on August 17. A release party was held on Saturday, August 14 at National Hotel, Miami Beach, Florida.
Stars from the acclaimed series such as Lauren Velez, C.S. Lee, and David Zayas were in attendance, accompanied by two models wearing Dexter’s signature plastic wrap and police line each. To set the mood as well, a puddle of blood was placed where the stars took pictures for the press. Spotted coming as guest are Vincent DePaul and Lee’s wife Lara Cho.
The fourth season of “Dexter” took viewers by surprise with its twisted ending. Michael C. Hall earned Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series – Drama at the Golden Globes while John Lithgow nabbed Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role in a Series, Mini-Series or Motion Picture Made for Television.
Dexter is now a family man, and Rita has given birth to a baby boy named Harrison. The family has moved to the suburbs, where Dexter struggles to reconcile his new life with his killing urges. Special Agent Frank Lundy returns to hunt down the “Trinity Killer” who he believes always murders three people in a very specific sequence: a young woman in a bathtub, an older mother of two falling to her death, and a father of two bludgeoned to death.
Showtime did not specify the special features included in the DVD and Blu-Ray versions. But according to NewsDay, there are sample episodes of Showtime series “The Tudors“, “Californication” and “Lock ‘N Load” plus the discs can be used to connect to Internet cast interviews.
